About Us
Stella Weinert, B.A., M.Ed,. is a veteran elementary teacher who crafts her learning activities around real world situations. She uses community resource people whenever possible to access indepth knowledge for student understandings and skill development. Stella is a specialist in teaching creative writing to young people and open-ended learning.

Marie Mullen, B.A., M.Ed., is principal of Salt Spring Elementary School and was co-teaching during the WATERDROPS project. The deep and multi-dimensional student learning she witnessed during the delivery of Waterdrops inspired her to encourage all her staff to get outside for active learning in nature and to take on a school nature theme for learning each year.

Catherine (Cate) McEwen, B.Sc., M.A., is an environmental educator who works closely with teachers and their students to get outside for field science and whole person learning. She is a GLOBE trainer and WildBC facilitator. She works regionally and internationally.

Tanya Grant, B.Ed., is a certified teacher and was a student teacher when involved with WATERDROPS. She crafted many of the Active Citizenship activities in Waterdrops during her practicum and promoted more use of technology. As a Teacher on Call during the 2nd year of Waterdrops, she recognized the depth of learning achieved during the 1st year when instructing the second year students.
